I went to the U2 360 concert the other night and the cartoon spaceman from the cover of Zooropa popped up on the big screen and said this whole speech..I wanna know what he said exactly, all I understood was "What time is it in the world?"
It’s called the Zoobaby. I think it basically just repeats stuff from the show. I know for sure he said some lyrics from "Space Oddity" (the Bowie song played right before they come on stage). Bono also says "What time is it in the world?" before NLOTH, so that’s a repeat. I’m glad that they brought it back again
It’s tomorrow and it starts at 7pm. They sold 90,000 tickets for the show so I know it’ll be packed. How early should I get there? I want a good spot but not necessarily front row.
Okay… its better to be in the front then to be ALL the way in the back.
My advice would be arrive at around 4:30 because its going to be packed and there is bound to be traffic and car wrecks.
So that means leave from your location at least 3 hours earlier then the concert.

Ok so my husband is in the USAF and is currently in ALS to get his 4th stripe. This is his last week and then he graduates. Today one of the higherup’s came into the class and asked if anyone in my husbands class( theres about 20 students) would want to see this concert. He said he could get them free tickets. So my husband signed up and asked for 2 tickets, and tonight he was told everyone in his class got free tickets to the U2 concert sunday night in Norman Ok,. Why would U2 one of the most politically active groups in the world give free tickets to military personal? Is this a peace offering considering the state their playing in and the fact that i’m sure their concert will have anti war/ anti military theme to it, or is this some kind of plan to try and get their message to american military memebrs? I was just curious, we have never gotten free tickets to a major event like this before so i was curious as to why this event, and why now? ANy suggestions or info is appreciated.
Thanks Lala, it just kind of threw me off a bit, we never get anything free not like that, wish my husband was like you and got free stuff all the time. His squadron never gets crap…
Did he say that the band was giving the tickets? maybe they are from the venue? Or it is a moral event his squadron/group/wing is doing? I get free tickets to stuff offered all the time, sporting events, theme parks, local attractions etc.
U2 recently had there only Florida concert in Tampa. Of course, Bono takes every opportunity (like Michael Moore) to talk about every thing in the world that is bothering him. Like the 6 semi trucks that are on tour with the band to haul there stuff that contributes to "global warming." Take off your sunglasses, Bono. It’s night time and this ain’t Alaska.
Bono’s a hypocrite, too. He wants those 6 trucks, because he needs all his black colored clothing, and hair products, and sunglasses, but he’s gonna act all eco-friendly and talk about what a travesty it is. Why doesn’t he drive or have a driver take him in a sub-compact hybrid, then? Because he’s pretentious. So, yup, you bet.
Well yes they are, i get so much idiots coming and sayin without the beatles, u2 would never exhist, yes we all know that but it dont matter, a son can be a better person than his parents, just because he came from them doesnt mean they are exzactly the same, U2 have been great since the late 80’s, they have made a lot of money our of tours and they have been together for 25 years, unlike the beatles, they have better music, they do more for charity, they are from a far better contry, the beatles are out, their music is for old grandads who fought in world war 2 and suprisingly are still alive, U2 #1 Band in the world! I can name you like 20 award winning songs by u2, and the only remotely good song by the beatles is "hey jude" a grandad classic.
Bono knows better, and you would too if you knew what you were talking about.
im going to the U2 concert on October 20 in glendale , az. does anyone know who is opening up for them
At the University of Phoenix stadium? Black Eyed Peas

Please can you tell me when and where or even at all?
i am i big fan of muse…and not just because of twilight ive know them for years…but i want to go to there concert in October in dallas,tx (idk what exact date) but can you tel me if there selling tickets or what? and it said there going to be with U2..idk if its there concert or muses….so please do some research for me.
Nick,
OK you demonstrate that you have good taste in music, but it’s really quite sad of you in a way, because if you can work out to ask a daft question here but still get it in the wrong question category. this is MOVIES so the question is in the wrong place, however…
You should be able to work out looking on websites like eventful that do your research for you, fan forums and official band websites, and MySpace profiles, really easy to find this when you put your mind to it. They will tell you when and where the bands are performing. In the case of smaller bands, who they are supporting on stadium gigs.
As for ticket availability, the sooner you do your homework, the quicker you’ll know the answer and can get your credit/debit card out and book tickets…
